Kill all werewolves. Gets to know the faction or identity of a chosen player each night.
Detailed description
After lengthy training at the school for divination, the seeress returns to the village a little disillusioned – unfortunately, her power is only sufficient to discover the true identity of one person per night before she has to rest exhaustedly. During the day, she has to carefully try to steer the discussion in the right direction without being targeted by the werewolves.
Variants
1) The seeress only finds out wether the targeted player is harmless or a werewolf.
2) The seeress finds out which card has been assigned to the investigated player by revealing it or displaying it through the app. However, this means that the seeress does not receive any information as to whether the victim has been infected.
3) The seeress may also look up the unused cards of the shapeshifter.
Hints for the game master and further rules
Before starting the game, talk to the players about the variant you are playing with, and maybe have a look at how it works in this app. If you reveal the cards of the person seen, do this as inconspicuously as possible or use the functionality of this app.
Hints for using this in the app
When selecting the cards, it can be set whether the seeress is going to be played using variant 1) or 2).
Variant 1): By assigning the attribute “Seen” to a player, the app will show the faction in full screen.
Variant 2): If this is activated in the card settings, all nightcaps (hunter, fallen angel, etc.) except for the villagers also wake up before the seeress so the cards can be assigned in the app (unless the game has been started with random card assignment). As soon as it’s the seeress’ turn, all unknown players (within the app) become normal villagers. The game master can now assign the attribute “Seen” to the player pointed at by the seeress. This player’s card is then displayed in full screen and the game master can show it to the seeress.
Hints for you if you’re playing this character
Try to spread your clues as inconspicuously as possible so that you do not end up on the menu of the werewolves.
Interactions
- Pyromaniac: The pyromaniac does not show as a werewolf to the seeress.
- Seer’s apprentice: The seer’s apprentice should not be in a game without the seeress.
- Primeval wolf: The infected victim is recognized by the seeress already in the night of the infection.
- Wolfhound: The seeress recognizes the wolfhound as a werewolf only if it has decided to be one.
- Wolf shaman: Hidden werewolves are recognized as “good”.
If you play in such a way that the seeress reveals identities, the hidden person will be shown to be a villager. In such games, the wolf shaman may also hide normal villagers to cause confusion. - Yeti: The seeress does not recognize the yeti as a werewolf.
