Actor

Goal:
Kill all werewolves. Chooses a different skillset each night.

Detailed description

The actor has the unique talent to master just about every trait he tries to mimic. Before the start of a game, the game master selects some characters with special abilities. The actor is now allowed to choose from and play one of these roles each night. Once he has gone through all identities, he can choose from all of them again. The game will become a lot more unpredictable through his participation.

Variants

1) Once the actor has chosen an identity, it is permanently removed from the game.
2) The identities already used are placed in the middle of the game for everyone to see.

Hints for the game master and further rules

Before the start of the actual game, you should test how the actor works in this app. With the skills chosen, you can make up for an otherwise weak village. We recommend i.e. the visionary actor (fox, seeress, doge) or the specialist (witch, protector, bear commander). No werewolves and no loners should be chosen.

Hints for using this in the app

Once the actor is added to the active cards, the linked identities can be selected in his card settings. If the actor wakes up at night, the game director can click on the “Actor selection” button. The available cards from which the actor can choose are then displayed in full screen. After confirming his choice, the corresponding attributes can be distributed.

Hints for you if you’re playing this character

Congratulations! You drew a really powerful card. Just don’t be too conspicuous, but cleverly try to carry your information into the discussion. Good luck!

Interactions

  • Protector: The actor may not choose a person to protect with whom he has done something the previous night.
  • Doge: As an identity of the actor, the doge can also be chosen at a later time than the first night. In this case, we recommend that you simply announce the assumed identity out loud, so that you don’t always have to do this.
  • Owl: The actor points at different persons depending on his identity. The involved identities should be understood well.
  • Witch: If the actor can choose the witch as his identity, he may also use each potion only once during the entire course of the game.
  • Opportunist: We recommend not to use the actor and opportunist in the same game. If you dare to do so anyways, the opportunist has free choice of his identities.
  • Judge: If the actor assumes the identity of the judge, he may use the gesture only the following day.
  • Seer’s apprentice: We recommend not providing the actor with the identity of the seer’s apprentice. Also, playing with a real seeress instead of an optional seeress is recommended if the seer’s apprentice is in play.
