As long as the role model lives: Kill all werewolves. If the role model has died: Kill all villagers together with the werewolves. Wakes up during the first night to choose another player as a role model. Sleeps through until the role model is dead. From there wakes up with the werewolves each night.
Detailed description
After spending the first years of its life among the wolves, the wolf child chooses a role model among all the inhabitants of the village. As soon as this model has bitten the dust, the wolf child remembers its roots and transforms into a werewolf. If the role model survives until all werewolves are dead, the wolf child wins together with the villagers, otherwise it switches sides and joins the werewolves.
Variants
1) The game master vocally announces when the wolf child transforms.
Hints for the game master and further rules
In the first night after the transformation, you can silently point to the new member of the werewolves, because inexperienced players often don’t remember that it’s in the game.
If the wolf child dies, nobody may announce wether it already had mutated as this may contain important information for the village.
Hints for using this in the app
As soon as the role model dies, the wolf child automatically receives the attribute “Transformed”, a note is displayed and the background of the corresponding player is colored red.
Hints for you if you’re playing this character
Adapt to the course of the game – if you notice that the village wins, it is worth standing up for your role model. On the other hand, being a wolf also has its charm…
Interactions
- Cupid: The wolf child chooses its role model only after the lovers are determined.
- Bear commander: The bear commander’s bear does not recognize the wolf child as a werewolf until it has mutated. If the role model dies during the night, the bear will detect the wolf child as a werewolf starting with the coming morning.
- Doge: The doge does not recognize the wolf child as a werewolf, because the role model can only have died in the same night.
- Noble knight: If the wolf child mutates the night the noble knight becomes a victim, it does not count as a werewolf yet.
- Lonesome wolf: The wolf child can only be devoured by the lonesome wolf if it has mutated and woken up at least once with the rest of the werewolves.
- Owl: In the first night, the owl can see whom the wolf child has chosen as their role model. Only after the wolf child has mutated, it points at the victim of the werewolves.
- Trapper: If the wolf child mutates the same night that a victim with a trap in front of it is caught, it does not yet count as a full werewolf.
- Pyromaniac: If the wolf child is burned on the first night, it can no longer choose a role model and therefore lives on as a villager.
- Fox: The wolf child counts as a werewolf for the fox only after it has mutated. If its role model dies the same night that it is checked, it has not yet mutated.
- Big bad wolf: When the wolf child dies and was already mutated, the big bad wolf loses its ability.
- Opportunist: If the opportunist becomes a wolf child, she must choose a new role model. She either tells this to the game master, or the scene is called again after the takeover. Until she has chosen, she counts as a villager and can win with the village.
- Spirit: The wolf child only counts as a werewolf if its role model has died prior to the answering of the question.
- Yeti: If the wolf child is frozen on the first night, it can no longer choose a role model and therefore lives on as a villager.
